Jared - Keywords

Jared's put good thought into selecting keywords that are important to him to help summarise himself. His google drawing is pretty clever too.

Key Words - Reading

Everyone has been working really hard to locate keywords in texts they read to summarise the main ideas. To help understand what a keyword is everyone brainstormed keywords about themselves and used these in mini summaries. Esther has summed herself up well!

My Place in the World

6 April 2016 - Over the last few weeks the students have been learning to write in formal report style to present the country of their origin to others. They have had to learn how to write in the third person, include topic sentences and how to write supporting sentences. Their writing has needed to be correctly punctuated and presented in paragraphs. They are now sharing their learning with you and are looking forward to reading your comments!

Making Parachutes

As part of our maths and technology learning the class has been learning to design, make and modify parachutes. The next step will be to record the descent times on a table and compare these with other groups. Students need to think about how they will take accurate measurements and ensure that 'flights' are conducted in a fair manner. The photos show the creating stage. The designs were drawn using the Google drawing tool.

Good use of recycled materials.

Some serious concentration at the create stage!
